TAX PREPARATION: (updated 6/29/20)
Just-A-Start’s tax preparation services are being offered from May 16 – July 15, both in person and remotely.
In person tax preparation: Just-A-Start’s Tax Help Clinic at 402 Rindge Avenue is operating on a first-come, first-serve basis on Tuesdays from 6-8pm and Saturdays from 1-3pm. IRS-trained volunteers focus on maximizing tax credits and are trained to handle a variety of tax situations. The in-person service consists of an intake/interview with the taxpayer and scanning documents. Once this is complete, the taxpayer can leave, and we will complete the tax return and finish everything up remotely through email.
Wearing a mask at the physical site is required for all participants.
Remote tax preparation: The remote tax preparation process takes about two weeks to complete, except for simple returns. As the tax deadline approaches, we urge people to use the in-person site. Please contact Ian Davis directly at (628) 246-1467 or email@example.com to determine eligibility for remote assistance.
