52 New Street
We’re transforming the lot at 52 New Street into modern and environmentally-friendly family housing. The proposed building will create over 100 affordable apartments for residents, providing much-needed affordable housing opportunities in a tight and increasingly expensive rental market.
24 Webster Avenue
Located in the Union Square neighborhood of Somerville, and minutes from the green line train station, 24 Webster Avenue will provide approximately 42 apartments to Somerville families.
This 100% affordable building will comprise of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. 24 Webster Ave will also contain about 2,300 square feet of commercial space and residential amenities. The project will be built to Passive House standards ensuring that it is ultra energy efficient.
37 Brookline Street
We are proposing to transform a three-family building, previously owned by legendary Cambridge artist Peter Valentine, into an approximately 11,100 sf multifamily building that includes 13 units of new mixed-income affordable housing.
240 Broadway
We plan to transform the parking lot at the intersection of Broadway and Windsor Street into a 20-unit affordable housing property, featuring 9 one-bedroom and 11 two-bedroom units.
35 Cherry Street
We are proposing to transform a 10,593 sf vacant lot located in the Port neighborhood of Cambridge into new affordable homeownership units for families.
1826 & 1840 Massachusetts Avenue
We plan to transform two paved parking lots located at 1826 & 1840 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge’s Porter Square into new, transit-oriented multifamily affordable housing.
12-14 Laurel Street
We are proposing to transform an existing duplex located at into four new affordable homeownership units with 3- and 4-bedroom units designed with families in mind.
297 Medford Street
In partnership with Somerville Community Land Trust, Just A Start is proposing to transform the vacant lot into permanently affordable homes that strengthen the surrounding community.
